1. What would your MySpace song be in 2025?

Kendrick Lamar - Humble

2. Instagram or TikTok? Defend your answer.

TikTok. It's chaotic, unfiltered, and refreshingly real. Plus, it's where culture is born - and if you’re not paying attention to what’s landing there, you're already behind.

3. What’s in your camera roll way too much?

Screenshots of genius LinkedIn posts, chaotic post-it brainstorms, photos of cool event signage, and unhinged marketing memes.

4. A tool, app, or sneaky little shortcut you swear by?

Notion. Visual af and lord knows I need organisation in my life!

5. Most underrated social media skill?

Not jumping on trends just because everyone else is.

6. If you could ban one trend forever, what would it be?

Gatekeeping. Especially in marketing. There’s room for more than one event, community, or voice at the table - share the mic!

7. Who are 3 brands/creators you’re vibing with right now?

Liquid Death – for not taking anything (especially itself) too seriously.

The Female Startup Club – empowering, insightful, and actually useful.

Jon Evans– CMO daddy and drops ridiculously useful insight and tips on marketing - also we did a Linkedin post that went viral to bring him across the ditch!

8. Go-to comfort food after a chaotic day?

Ramen.

9. Best DM you’ve ever received (or sent)?

“Your event made me feel like I actually belong in marketing again.” (Nothing beats that.)

10. What’s your biggest ick on LinkedIn right now?

People policing how others show up. There’s more than one way to be a “professional”, be "authentic" or be literally anything else you want to be - there's space at the table for all of us!

Q&A with Emma-Jaye Zappacosta

May 15, 2026

Emma-Jaye Zappacosta has spent more than a decade working in social media, and her perspective cuts through a lot of the noise currently flooding the industry. In this Q&A, she talks about why brands need to stop treating posting as the finish line, how comment sections have become one of the most important growth levers in social, and why the strongest content strategies are built on distinctiveness — not trend-chasing. It’s thoughtful, sharp, and full of the kind of insights that only come from someone who’s actually done the work.

Q&A with Camille Safadi

May 8, 2026

There’s a lot of content being made right now. Most of it looks the same. Same formats. Same ideas. Same AI-assisted variations of what’s already worked for someone else. Camille Safadi’s approach is a bit different. Find what resonates, double down on it, and evolve it instead of starting from scratch. Because when something already works, the smartest move isn’t to replace it. It’s to build on it. Simple. But most brands still get it wrong.
